What is Acne?
Acne is an inherited disorder of the pores – pores that shed dead skin cells much faster than normal. Normal pores shed about one layer of dead skin cells per day inside the pore. The acne-prone pore sheds up to five layers of dead skin cells per day and the body just can’t keep up. This forms the microcomedone, the beginning of all acne. Taking up to 90 days, it turns into blackheads or congestion under the skin; or if bacteria is present (which just loves to feed on the dead skin cells and oil), it turns into inflamed pimples or pustules and maybe even cysts.
Acne can be more than just a "breakout." Acne can be detrimental to your self-esteem, affecting how you live your life and socialize. Not wanting to go out with friends because you're afraid of your acne bumps showing up in pictures. Not wanting to go to the beach or pool because the water will wash off your make-up. Not wanting to go to that interview because you're afraid of them judging you and your appearance. Does this sound like you? Your Consultation
Your initial consultation will include: a thorough analysis of your skin as well as your lifestyle that could be affecting your acne, first acne treatment, and will go home with a whole new regimen and instructions on how to use them. You will also be sent a 20 page document on lifestyle tips and tricks to keep your skin clear. Virtual consultations are also available.

Your Treatments
To treat acne effectively, one must be patient as it can take at least 3 months (in some cases longer) to see results. In addition, you must be compliant with all instructions and be consistent with your treatments which can be every 2 weeks until your acne subsides. Treatments can include very mild corrective peels, or hydrating enzyme treatments if your skin is sensitized or irritated. Add on’s such as hydradermabrasion or LED is available with the discretion of your skin therapist. Coming in every 2 weeks is essential to your success because we will increase the strength of not only in-office treatments, but your home care as well. Thereafter, a monthly visit will insure that your acne stays at bay.

Pricing
Consultation: $50 + Treatment ($90-$149)
Initial Set of Products: This can vary. Expect between $150 - $250 for initial set. We may add on products in future appointments.
Treatments:
Treatment pricing varies by using different modalities. Pricing below reflects coming in every 2 weeks for at least 3 months and being on the entire skin care regimen that we recommend. Without coming in on a regular basis or by not using recommenced products, normal facial pricing applies.

Acne Treatment (2 weeks)
Acne treatment includes with cleansing, exfoliation with a chemical peel or hydrating treatment, extractions, and 20 minutes of LED Light Therapy. LED speeds up recovery time, reduces inflammation, and kills acne causing bacteria. This treatment is the face only. This treatment can last anywhere from 30 to 50 minutes.

Acne Treatment with HydraFacial™
Acne treatment with extra exfoliation the HydraFacial™. Hydradermabrasion is a physical exfoliation that helps your peel penetrate better, helps ease extractions, and infuse serums towards your specific skin concerns. Treatment finishes with 15-20 minutes of LED Light Therapy. Entire treatment is 30-50 minutes.

Back Acne Treatment
Acne treatment but for your back. Steam, cleansing, hydrating or mild chemical peel, extractions and finishing products.
